The miniature steam trains are a fun filled day out for the whole family. Otago Miniature Road and Rail Society operate miniature trains on site at Wals Fun Land.
The track is approx 1km in length and trains depart from the Saddle Hill Railway station, they toot past the cafe, travel across bridges past the ponds and around the outside of the family mini golf. The track has recently been extended with an additional bridge and lap. The experience is a great day out for the whole family. So get your tickets from the ticket booth at Saddle Hill Railway Station and hop on aboard for a family fun day.
Trains run September - June on selected Sundays from 11am - 3:00pm (weather permitting). During the summer months the mini trains usually run every Sunday. An up to date schedule for the trains can be seen here at http://www.omrr.org.nz/running-schedule.
Children under the age of 7 must now be accompanied by a responsible youth or adult - this is to ensure the safety of all participants at the railway.
Enclosed shoes must be worn.
No dogs permitted on the grounds at all times.
Rides $2.50 each, Concession tickets $20 for 10 rides. You can use your concession tickets over several visits.
