Terms and Conditions
Your access to, and use of, Wal’s Plant Land Online Shop is subject to the following terms and conditions. By using Wal’s Plant Land online shop you represent that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions you should refrain from making an order.
Payment and Purchasing Security
Purchasing from Wal's Plant Land online gives you convenient, quick, easy and secure purchasing options. Items displayed on the site can be purchased online using MasterCard or Visa or by direct debit from your bank account or payment can be made upon collection in store. All payments must be made in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
When paying by credit card you are transferred to Paystation secure payments site which uses top level security to ensure your credit card details are safely transmitted to their processing centre. Wal's Plant Land does not see or record your credit card number during this process. The name that will appear on your statement will be Wals plant land.
Wal's Plant Land is committed to providing you with a safe and secure shopping experience online. All payments via our site are processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, whereby sensitive information is encrypted to protect your privacy. You can help to protect your details from unauthorised access by logging out each time you finish using the site, particularly if you are doing so from a public or shared computer.

All prices on this website are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST (15%). Orders will be processed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), we do not accept payments in other currencies. The name that will appear on your statement will be Wals plant land. International credit cards may incur additional charges, please consult your personal bank for more details.
While we take great care to ensure all pricing is correctly displayed, in the case of a price being displayed incorrectly we reserve the right to charge the correct amount. In such circumstance you will be asked if you wish to proceed with or change your order or we may cancel the order and issue a refund.
Prices and specials available on Wal’s Plant Land online shop may not necessarily be the same as the prices and specials available in-store. Any prices and specials available via the online shop will only apply to products purchased through the online shop if those prices or specials are specifically displayed on Wal’s Plant Land shop, and vice versa.
Wal’s Plant Land online shop may vary the prices of the products at any time without notice.

Wal's Plant Land is operated by our team based in Mosgiel, New Zealand. The information on our website may not be appropriate or available for use in other jurisdictions. If you choose to access our website from a jurisdiction other than New Zealand, you do so on your own initiative and you are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of that jurisdiction. We do not send plants or products outside of New Zealand.
The design and content contained within the Wal's Plant Land website is intellectual property which is either owned or licensed by Wal's Plant Land or the parent company Wallis's Nurseries Ltd. The website is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use, research or study. Any use of our website and its content for purposes other than personal non-commercial use is prohibited without our prior written permission. You may not systematically extract and/or utilise parts of the content of our website and in particular, you may not utilise any data mining, robots or similar data gathering and extraction tools to extract without our prior written permission. You may not create and/or publish your own database that features content on this website (e.g. our prices and product listings) without our prior written permission. Each of the various trademarks, product names, company names and corporate identities represented on our website are the property of the individual companies, used by us with their permission, and are not to be reproduced or used without the express permission of its owner.
Wal’s will deliver your order to any destination in New Zealand excluding any products labelled local delivery only. Orders are dispatched on Monday – Thursday. Please ensure delivery details are clear and accurate and where appropriate provide any delivery instructions.
We endeavour to ship all orders within 2 working days of us confirming receipt of the order and full payment being made. If we are not able to supply the products or there is likely to be a significant delay in making delivery (e.g. because the product is out of stock or the delivery is to a rural/remote location*), we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible after we become aware of this, in which case you may cancel the order (or any part of it) and you will receive a refund (including the applicable delivery charges) in respect of those products which will not be delivered. We will not otherwise be liable to you for any damages, costs or expenses of any kind, suffered or incurred by you due to the order not being fulfilled or the products not being delivered within the anticipated delivery time. Please note that a signature is optional for receiving deliveries. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 working days of the dispatch date. We will use this delivery information to make a claim against our courier company. We will offer you the choice of a replacement or a full refund, once we have received confirmation from our courier company that delivery was not successful.
Delivery to rural addresses or delivery of large/bulky items may take longer in some areas. Delivery will be deemed to have been made when the goods arrive at the delivery point agreed with you, or, if you are to arrange delivery, when the goods are available for collection by you.
Delivery will be targeted at 3-4 working days once the order has been despatched. You will be notified by us if there are any delays. Please note that rural delivery can add 2 extra days to your expected arrival time when utilising the courier services.
Delivery deemed to have taken place
If no person is present at the Delivery Point at the time of delivery, or the Customer or any other person fails or refuses to take delivery of the Products, the Products will be left at the Delivery Point and be deemed to have been delivered at that point in time.
There is a minimum delivery charge of $30 per order or 20% of the order total whichever is the greatest. Flowers, bulk mixes and large trees are only available for local delivery and are charged based on the delivery location which is calculated at checkout time or refer to the shipping section.
Products marked as local delivery will only be delivered locally unless you contact us directly to arrange an exception. If you are ordering a large amount of tall trees outside of the local area please feel free to contact us regarding freight options.
Property and risk of Products
Property and risk in the Products shall pass to the Customer on delivery to the Delivery Point. No liability will be accepted on behalf of Wal’s Plant Land for any spoiled or perished goods after delivery
Variation/cancellation of order
The Customer may vary or cancel the order up to the point in time that Wal’s has commenced packing the order by contacting us directly.
- General Product Returns
Wal’s Plant and Fun Land is happy to exchange or refund goods purchased online for up to 14 days of receipt, provided goods are returned to Wal’s Plant Land in their original packaging and tags. All undamaged, correctly returned products will be refunded (less shipping costs) to the original purchasers credit card or via bank deposit within 7 days. We do not accept exchange or refund requests for special marked down products, items sold out of the clearance section or samples.
If you received an item as a gift and you would like to return it you are entitled to an exchange, provided you are in possession of the purchase receipt. The gifted item needs to be in original, unused condition with the original packaging and tags. Exemptions may apply. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
We reserve the right to refuse a returned product that is damaged by the recipient due to lack of care or disregard of care or the care instructions for the item(s).
- Plant Returns
Wal’s Plant Land stands by the quality of all our products and we only pick and pack the best plants available in store for online orders. Sometimes however, plants can get damaged in transit. Whilst the freight/courier teams do their utmost to ensure the plants arrive in good condition, due to the fragile nature of plants there may be some slight damage in transit (or leaf bruising). This is to be expected and, unfortunately, cannot be helped but if your plant arrives to you in a condition that you think is not acceptable, please contact us directly for a resolution. If your plant(s) arrive damaged on arrival you must contact us immediately and not try to return it via your own postage means. We will arrange with you the collection of the damaged plants by the company whom delivered it. Please call us on 03 4847319 or email email@example.com. We are open 7 days from 8.30am -5pm and have an answer machine available. Please make sure you provide us with a means to contact you back like your phone number and or email address.
If Wal’s Plant Land agrees that a product was delivered to a Customer in a damaged or spoiled condition, Wal’s shall, at the request of the Customer, refund the value of the relevant Product to the Customer (as at the date on which the Product was originally ordered) or at the request of the customer send replacement plants (subject to availability).
We treat refunds and replacements on a case by case basis at our sole discretion, upholding the principles set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act, however we cannot take responsibility for plants that have perished due to lack of care or being in an unsuitable environment.
We do accept exchanges for pet food/care, garden care and accessories, home décor and gift items within 14 days of purchase. Plants cannot be exchanged. If you wish to exchange an item please contact us as soon as possible. If you have decided to exchange for an item with a different dollar value, we will credit or debit your card or conduct electronic payments to match the difference. Once we receive your return we will send out your new item(s). This will incur a new delivery charge.
Stock Quality and Supply
Every effort will be made to fulfil orders placed with Wal’s Online Shop, but no member of Wal’s shall be liable to any person if Wal’s is unable to or declines to supply a Product for any reason whatsoever.
Due to the seasonal nature of plants we may not hold stock of all items displayed on the website. These items should be labelled as out of stock on the web site but may be available for pre-order. If a product is shown out of stock, please notify us of your enquiry and we will advise you when it will be available.
While Wal’s Plant Land has endeavoured to ensure that the information provided on Wal’s online shop is free from error, no member of Wal’s warrants its accuracy, adequacy or completeness, and no member of Wal’s shall be responsible or liable for any error in, or omission from, the information provided on Wal’s online shop.
We reserve the right to make changes to the information provided on Wal’s online shop at any time and without notice.
Discretion to accept orders
Wal’s Plant Land has the absolute discretion as to whether an order placed on its website is accepted and fulfilled. Wal’s Plant Land may cancel an order for any reason whatsoever.
We shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms if the cause of delay or failure is beyond our reasonable control.
